Welcome to the
North Staffordshire Lesbian, Gay & Bisexual Switchboard

North Staffordshire Lesbian, Gay & Bisexual Switchboard, has been operating
in one form or another since 1977, making us one of the longest established
Switchboards in the country. At one time, Lesbian Line was a separate group
operating from the same premises, with the same number. Originally, we
operated only one night a week - this has now become three sessions a week
with, a combined lesbian, gay and bisexual group of members. We gained
charitable status in 2000.

Switchboard members come from all walks of life. We are all different, with
different experiences to draw upon - the only things we have in common are
our sexuality and a desire to help others. We are all lesbian, gay, or
bisexual.

All members have been through a training programme, and agreed to abide by
our constitution and the operating procedures that we have agreed to work
to. Some of us have been Switchboard members for years, others for only a
few months - all of us are still learning.

Our telephone helpline is currently open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
from 8pm-10pm.

We also offer a minicom service during these times. Outside of these hours please feel free to look for information on our website or to drop us an e-mail (all e-mails are replied to within duty hours).
